4 Months Old

I know I'm a little late on my post for 4 months, but I did get the pictures taken on the right day. Another month has gone by and my baby just keeps getting bigger! I hate it. But he is doing so many new, fun things now. He has learned how to grab things! It is so much fun to watch him concentrate on holding something. He purses his little lips and focuses his eyes on the prize! He also makes all sorts of new noises, including the high pitched squeal. This sometimes translates into his temper scream, which is not nearly as cute! He also loves to laugh now. He is getting to a really fun stage, but not quite mobile yet (which I am not complaining about!) He is also at the hands-constantly-in-the-mouth stage. Watch out for the drool! Here is my new favorite picture of him in his motorcycle hat from Grammie.

I am sad because I went back to teaching part time this year, so I don't get to spend as much time with my little guy as I used to. But he has been playing with Grammie, Aunt Abby, and Grandma Becky. They love him to death, so I guess I can share.

Here are his 4 month pictures. They aren't the greatest because it was 9 o'clock at night when we finally got home that day. But he is still cute as ever.

Here are a few extra pictures. He really loves talking to us and laughing these days. He is a really happy baby and grins his head off whenever he sees us. Here he is with a big grin for daddy.

He loves putting his feet up in the air now!

Look Alikes???

My mom and I pulled out my scrapbook the other day because she kept saying how much Sawyer reminded her of me as a baby. Turns out she had a good reason for saying that! The first set of pictures is me on my blessing day at one month old. Sawyer is 6 weeks old in the hat picture.

This next set of pictures shocks me! The top one is me at 5 months old. The bottom one is Sawyer at 3 months old.

Obviously there are some differences. And everyone says they can see Shane in him too. But can you believe the likeness?? What do you think, a mini me?

3 Months Old

Sawyer is already 3 months! It makes me so sad because he has already changed so much. But this month has been fun because he is really starting to interact with us. I have gotten him to giggle a few times and it is so darling! He is also smiling a ton and more aware of what is going on around him. He is now about 12 pounds and 23 inches long. But his biggest change happened in the last week. He now thinks he needs to be sitting up ALL the time! Whenever he is laid down flat on his back, he lifts his head up and tries to sit up on his own. If he is not sat up quickly he starts his fake cry, then his real one. I think we have a very determined little boy! Because of his new love for sitting up, I have started to use his Bumbo. What a great invention! Our new favorite thing to do is read stories while sitting up in it. His very favorite story is the Itsy Bitsy Spider book from Grammie. There is a video of me reading it to him. He is smiling and even gets a giggle out, but the best part is the big burp at the end!

Don't mind my singing!

I know this is a crappy picture, but he was getting mad so I called it quits.

He has already learned how to manipulate by fake crying!

Here are the 3 month pictures I took today. I'm normally not a fan of skulls, but I love his 3 month outfit! He already looks so grown up to me. He is such a great baby! We got very lucky with him.

Family Reunion Campout 2010

Every year we go camping for our Vuksinick family reunion. It is always so much fun to see everyone and spend a few days out enjoying nature. This year was especially crazy because of Sawyer. Taking a 10 week old camping is a little difficult. But we managed, and he actually did pretty well! I didn't get a ton of pictures, but I did get some of the Horseshoe Tournament. The last few years it has become a very fun tradition that we all look forward to. I'm kind of sad the campout is already over for this year, but I'm definitely grateful for air conditioning, a roof, a comfy bed, and a shower when I get home!!!

Sawyer's Baby Blessing

Yesterday we blessed Sawyer in our ward. Shane gave a BEAUTIFUL blessing (that had me crying!) and Sawyer was smiling at daddy the whole time. We had lots of support from family and friends. Thanks to everyone who came! Here are a few pictures. I didn't do a very good job of remembering to take them, but these are the ones I got.

2 Months Old

I can't believe another month has already gone by. Where did June go? If time continues to go this fast, I will have a one year old before I know it! Here is Sawyer in his bulldog onesie from Grammie. He now smiles all the time. He also blows lots of spit bubbles. He is still a little piggy and his rolly-polly legs and chub cheeks are the proof. He sleeps between 6-7 hours in a row at night!!! And he has learned a BAD new habit...thumb sucking (which we are trying really hard to discourage.) We are loving every minute of being parents!

Full of smiles

Lots of spit bubbles!
